Obstacles & General Course Information
Below are some of the obstacles you may encounter on a BoldrDash Course.  BoldrDash courses are ever changing and always evolving.  Each event is 3-5 miles and hosts some of the favorites as well as unique challenges to that location.  What’s ahead of you at your next BoldrDash?  Guess you’re going to have to come on down and see for yourself!
Tire Hurdle
Tire Hurdles – These hurdles are not as easy as they seem – the tires swing and move as you go over offering an extra fun challenge.
Tubular
Cargo Tube Crawl – Climb a ten foot wall and enter the tube-shaped cargo net – after crawling through the net to the other side slide down the fireman’s pole like the hero you are!
Tire Spoolin
Will you choose to Push or Pull to spool in the Tractor Tire? Don’t forget, you’re not finished until you drag the tire back to the start.
Vertical Cargo Net
Vertical Cargo Net – Suspended between trees allowing for even less stability on this OCR staple.
Wall Hanger
This obstacle takes on the best OCR has to offer on hanging walls. With multiple styles mixed in this rig it will take some time to determine how to traverse this challenge
Parallel bars
Parallel Bars – different strokes for different folks. We’ve seen some really interesting techniques from folks trying to get across this great multi-lengthed obstacle
Rope Climb
Rope Climb – A great obstacle to test your full body strength and an awesome opportunity to use teamwork to accomplish
Spider Walls
BoldrDash Spider Walls – Introduced in 2014 and since then have become a staple at most event venues. Hands here – Feet there and shimmy! Different lengths available up to 24 feet.
Monkey Bars
Monkey Bars – regular grip, fat grip and an angled section to add to this 16 foot long challenge.
Suspended Tube Crawl
Suspended Tube Crawl – Another innovative twist on a staple OCR obstacle. Introduced in 2015 with rave reviews.
PVC Traverse
Choose your tube, choose your challenge. Different lengths and sizes on these tubes create a new challenge each time you go through.
Tire Swing
Tire Swing – Deceptively difficult – the tire swing will challenge even the most elite athlete as they attempt to get to the other side all while tapping into your inner child. Swing like Tarzan from tire to tire.
Over/Under/Through Walls
Endless Over/Under and Through Wall – The seemlessly never ending wall of walls – Just when you think you’ve reached the final wall you realize it is not over yet.
4 Foot Wall Twister
A ‘Twist’ on the classic 4 Foot Wall of year’s past. Perfect that upper-body technique to conquer this one.
Wobble Board
Wobble Board – Adding difficulty and fun to a basic balance obstacle is one of the ways we change up the ordinary.
A-Frame Wall
A-Frame Wall – Even with ropes and multiple ability levels this wall offers quite a challenge.
Tire Crawl
Tire Crawl – You’ve seen tires on courses before, but not like these. The added cargo net requires participants to remain in a low crawl, with directional changes along the way.
Partner Traverse
Partner Traverse – Don’t touch the top! Grab a partner and make your way along this 16 foot wall traverse. Touch the top and go back to the start!
Pulley
Pulley – Choose the 60lbs or 80lb block and raise it to the top of the pulley. Don’t forget to hold on as it comes down!
8 and 10 Foot Walls
We build with all fitness levels in mind. Our walls have 2-3 levels of difficulty from ladder wall to no assistance at all. Find your way over the top!
Rocky Shore
Scaling the Rocky Shore – Exclusive to our beach location – this natural obstacle speaks for itself!
Slatted A-Frame Wall
Slatted A-Frame Wall – Reach new heights on this 12 foot high slatted wall. Slats spaced approximately 2 1/2 feet apart to add to the challenge
Balance Beam with PVC Pipe
Balance Beam with PVC – taking balance to a whole new level. Holding a PVC pipe filled with water is a game changer. Can you make it to the other side without falling?
Tire Wall
Tire Wall – Boldrdash loves innovation with tires!! On this obstacle you will scale the tires up 12 feet and climb down the slatted wall on the other side.
Wreck Bag Carry
Wreck Bag Carry – This is no ordinary Wreck Bag! Choose a partner or go SuperMan Style to get the 90lb bag over the line
Inverted Wall
Inverted Wall – Approximately 5 1/2 feet high this inverted wall can be quite a challenge for even seasoned OCR runners
Tire Drag
That’s right – More Tires! Get this tracker tire from point A to point B then on with your run!
4 Foot Walls – Beach
4 Foot Walls – You’re likely to see these little guys pop up just about anywhere on a course. The question is how many are there?
Tire Hops
Tire Hops – our own take on the Log Hop obstacle. Different heights and spaced just far enough apart to make them a challenge. This obstacle is just plain fun!
Weaver
Weaver – Weave through this military style obstacle without touching the ground – a definite upper body push!
Shimmy and Slide
Shimmy and Slide – What goes up, must come down and this case IT’S YOU! This obstacle’s difficulty level may be deceiving, but it’s fun factor certainly is not!
Suspended Monkey Bars
Monkeys aren’t the only thing that swings from the trees! These Monkey Bars are suspended and offer a whole new way to Swing
Tire Toss
Think of the days of carnivals and amusement parks. The Tire toss is skill based obstacle that you must master in order to move on without penalty. Toss the Tire on the Stand – It’s a lot harder than it looks!
Got Me Chained
Got Me Chained – Carrying a boldr at BoldrDash has been a staple since day one. Just for fun we decided to add a 30-40 foot chain to this boldr carry!
